Barrington Digital Library
Hey everyone.
Has anyone been able to access the BDL from overseas? So far I’ve not been able to get through using either of the URLs they gave us or by linking from the VLE- http://diglib.shrivenham.cranfield.ac.uk/ and http://barrington.cranfield.ac.uk/. Can you get at it from the UK; maybe it’s broken?

Dan, same detail for me. I tried a few days ago but had no joy. Maybe it’s because we’re outside the UK?

I have just checked with Cranfield and the server for the Barrington Library was being worked on over the weekend and so it would nott have been possible for you to log in over this period. If the problem is more long term than this, then I will need to go back to them and see if their are other issues that may be in play. Interestingly, I just tried to log in using the work computer, but it didn’t like the security certificate. If something like this occured at your end, it could be the MOD laptop that is at fault.

Worked a treat from my work laptop using the Cranfield login. Have you applied Rule number one?
