Please tell me this is a worldwide phenomenon!
Has anyone else noticed a tendancy for the entire office to get up to go to the toilet between 1650 and 1657? It seems that everyone is so bored all day long they don’t even want to urinate on their own time for fear that it will delay their exit from the office. Please tell me it happens everywhere.

Yes, though everybody sees to be in early and away early here. No time for trivialities like conversation and banter. I’ll wear them down eventually.
I agree with Jon that everybody is quite focussed, and not as keen to chat about a particular problem as they were on site. I guess becuase hours are so limited and budget control tight. That said, a coffee goes a long way if you need to chat.
I was once told of an office with a significant female componenet that not only timed going to the toilet to meet the end of their paid day but managed it so that they could return to thier desk pack their bags and sit for two muinutes with their bags on their laps waiting to stand up on the dot of knock off time! It is near universal within a certain payband (and whacky races from Brompton Bks gates bears this out!).
