Hi Ros, the job is ticking on nicely! Non concentric reducing valve? Its a reducer that is not concentric of course!

In other words an eccentric reducer where the pipe reduction occurs offset from the pipe centre line, in your pictures you can see that the reduced diameter pipe sits level with the bottom of the larger diameter pipe. Normally only necessary near pump inlets or where the pipe can be used as a sludge trap.

Interesting arrangement in your picture, presumably the flow is from left to right but its quite a dramatic pipe reduction, any reason in particular?
