Spot the Obvious Mistake

Following on from my previous Blog Post: “A wheel wash – yes honestly the story of a wheel wash”.  My exciting challenge to all bloggers is to spot the obvious error ( I hasten to add I am afraid this is not an interesting geotechnical issue).

    Wrong side of the road?

Good point – although not the point I was trying to make – NO WATER

Phase 3 wheel wash has sat idle for 3 weeks since the client team have not instructed the adjacent phases to provide us with a water supply!

Why do you need water. Surely that’s not important for a wheel wash!
Good to see your time is being well spent.

Rich, if/when the wheel wash gets water where will it drain to? I’m not sure the local council will be too happy with loads of muddy water running down the road to the nearest drain.

Looks like your wheel wash needs a bit of a wash itself.

Bloomin’ E&Ms… You boys are hounding me!

When up and running apparently it recycles 90% of the water it uses.

As for discharge permit – we applied for our license to discharge and it arrived 3 weeks ago. As an aside, we had a separate issue whereby the client’s Environmnetal Rep informed us we could discharge into a manhole (which Skanska had a discharge permit for) without discharge approval. In reality we could have been in a great deal of trouble with the environmental agency had we taken him at his word. For once the young trendy socialist left wing hippie Environmental Manager was very helpful.

I’ll get on the case – probably more productive than dealing with the client’s representatives!
