Struggling to Post!?
About to leave PEW and need to be able to post? Try…go into any post and look to the top left corner “My Site”
Go down and click on posts – new post
Rest is very simple…
Tips from the field anyone?

I seem to find it easier using the ‘classic browser’ through this link: https://htstrial.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=post
That might just be me but then topright of the normal home screen there is a pencil with a cross which lets you start a post.
I’ve always done it as Rich described above but that has meant I can’t post from my work computer with a slightly out of date browser. Damo’s way allows me to do that, as per my last post, so definitely worth considering.
I also think adding ‘tags’ to your blogs is a good idea. It allows them to be more searchable in the future, especially for people looking for the common pitfalls of moving jobs and overseas admin etc.
Couriously going in through ‘My Site’ tells me I’m using and out of date browser and offers an update, which using an HTS machine I have to decline. I am then bounced into the ‘classic’ set up which I used. Does you work machine not automatically send you this way when you decline to update?
I don’t seem to have that facility in my browser. I can see the MySite symbol but all it has in there is “+ Create site”.
Any help?
At the bottom of ‘My Sites’ there should be a ‘blog posts’ and ‘add’. Try hitting that.
Or there should be an icon in the top right hand corner with a ‘+’ and a picture of a crayon/pencil?
Henry,
There is no such option under My Site, just Create Site. I have a user account as it allows me to reply. I guess there is something wrong with the user permissions?
Along the top of my screen I have the following:
“W My Site”; “Reader”; An avatar symbol (my profile) and a text message symbol (private messages I guess).
Having seen this in the flesh I can only say – flummoxed. I’ll revert to the blog administrator…
I wonder. It might be that you don’t have write access to the blog which would likely sit with the administrator. If not it might be that you have to have your own blog running to be able to contribute. I have my own, and I didn’t set it up on purpose; in fact a couple of my first blogs I posted to that site instead of this one by accident. If all else fails just open another account?…
